UVL Studio’s flagship Axis Mundi project launches the first installment of a narrative Bandernach-esque NFT.

Beyond making money, this week design studio UVL is releasing a special “Choose Your Own Adventure” NFT project.

The ‘Axis Mundi’ journey consists of three main components and will begin on June 6 in an unlocked 72-hour edition where users will be able to access so-called power-ups. The open version of mint implies an unlimited number of NFTs in the pool.

Created by new media artist Jason Ting and sound designer Pelican Sound, these elements appear as 20-second video loops of light and fluid.

Objects can also upgrade NFTs, but users must burn power NFTs to do so. To move from the first form to the second form, for example, users must spend five energy

The final component is a very large group work that produces art based on the unique interactions between different objects in the virtual world after the experiment is over.

The trial will be conducted in eight phases over the next 8 to 12 months.

Co-founder Alexis Foucault told Decrypt: “The units are designed to meet the needs of a post-mining community. We have a well-structured and pre-planned experience where all collectors participate.

At the conclusion of each game chapter, NFT holders are presented with decisions for a certain number of days, with one-click decision-making methods adapted to the collector’s short attention span. “The decisions you make will have a big impact and they won’t be easy,” he said.

Depending on the personality and psychology of the participant, different ways and experiences begin to intertwine. “Consumer decisions shape their journey and the NFT they own,” he said. Foucault likens it to the interactive storytelling format popularized in Black Mirror’s “Bandersnatch,” in which the viewer’s decisions determine the course of the narrative.
